ABOUT Broccoli Rice RECIPE

This is a very simple and easy one pot meal.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Rice - 11/2 cup
  2. Broccoli florets - 1 cup
  3. Onion - chopped, 1/2 cup
  4. Garlic - chopped, 1 teaspoon
  5. Black Pepper Powder - 1 teaspoon
  6. Peppercorn - 5 to 6
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  9. Refined Oil - 2 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak the rice for 20 minutes. Then drain the water and cook the rice 70-80% and drain the water.
  2. Spread the rice in big plates and allow to cool.
  3. In the mean time, blanch the broccoli florets and keep aside.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and add peppercorns in oil.
  5. Next add chopped garlic, once they are little burnt add chopped onions and broccoli florets. Fry them in high heat.
  6. Once onions are translucent and broccoli florets are cooked add cooked rice and mix well.
  7. Add salt to taste and black pepper powder. Give a good stir. If required toss it well.
  8. Finally, add vinegar and toss again. Serve with any side dish or serve as one pot meal or with your favourite sides.
