ABOUT Natural Nuts RECIPE

Winter has come and its the perfect time to stock nuts in our home. Why not have natural nuts which are preservative free and a healthy snack to binge over. This is an addictive recipe So be prepared for people to steal from your jar.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Almonds 1cup
  2. Jaggery 1cup
  3. Oil 1tsp
  4. Cardamom powder 1tbsp
  5. Water 2tbsp

Instructions

  1. Dry roast the walnuts in a non-stick kadhai/microwave oven and let cool.
  2. Melt gur in a non-stick pan on a low flame with the water and oil and let it come to a boil. You will know it's done once it starts pulling away from the edges. Now add cardamom powder to it.
  3. Add the almonds and mix well for a couple of minutes till the gur has coated the almonds completely.
  4. Lift the almonds with a spoon one by one and place on tray lined with foil
  5. If the mixture in the pan becomes hard. Re-heat it on a low flame. It should not burn.
  6. Cool the caramelised nuts to room temperature and store in an airtight container
