Ingredients to make Basanti

  • Milk - 1 litre
  • sugar - 4cups
  • Cardamon - 3 crushed
  • saffron - 4 to 5 strings

How to make Basanti

  1. In a heavy bottom pan, pour milk and keep the heat in low medium.
  2. Slowly take the milk skin which forms in the top of the milk.
  3. Collect it in a separate bowl.
  4. Do the process till the milk reduces to 1 cup.
  5. Then to the rest of the milk add sugar, saffron and cardamon
  6. Now turn off the heat and add all the milk skin to the milk.
  7. Let it cool down for few mins and then refrigerate it.
