ABOUT Bhatura RECIPE

A quick and easy bhatura recipe that takes two hours of leavening made with maida, whole wheat flour and rice flour. It's crispy on the outside and soft inside.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Wheat flour 1 cup
  2. Maida 1/2 cup
  3. Rice flour 1/3 cup
  4. Sugar 1/2 tablespoon
  5. Salt 1/2 tablespoon
  6. Oil 1 tablespoon
  7. Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Thick Curd 1/2 cup
  9. Water for kneading
  10. Oil for Deep frying

Instructions

  1. Mix all the flour with baking soda
  2. Add salt, sugar, oil and mix everything well
  3. Add curd and mix
  4. Slowly add water and form a soft dough.
  5. Keep the dough covered for 2-3 hours.
  6. Then make medium sized balls and roll them to medium thickness by applying little oil
  7. Deep fry them from both sides till they turn golden colour
  8. Serve them hot with chole or potato curry.
