ABOUT cheesekachori RECIPE

It is a favourite fried snack of my kids. It is filled with cheese and cottage cheese

  1. For dough -
  2. 1 cup all purpose flour
  3. 1 tsp oil
  4. Salt
  5. water to knead a tight dough
  6. For Filling -
  7. 1 tbsp oil
  8. 1 tsp Garlic paste
  9. 1 small onion finely chopped
  10. 1/2 cup grated cottage cheese
  11. 2 cubes grated cheese
  12. 1 tsp red chilly flakes
  13. 1 tsp Oregano
  14. 1 tsp black pepper powder
  15. salt as per taste

Instructions

  1. Knead a tight dough by mixing flour oil and salt and keep it aside for half an hour
  2. Take oil in a pan
  3. Add onion and sauté for one minute
  4. Then add garlic paste
  5. As the aroma of garlic disappear add cottage cheese
  6. Switch the gas off
  7. As it cools down add cheese,chilly flakes,black pepper powder, oregano and salt. Mix well
  8. Take a small portion of the dough as we take for frying poori
  9. Roll a little
  10. Put 1 tbsp of filling in it
  11. seal it from all sides by pressing the sides firmly
  12. Keep the kachoris in the refrigerator for 10 min
  13. Take oil in heavy bottom pan and fry these kachoris on medium flame
  14. Serve
