Ingredients to make Paneer butter masala

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • paneer 200 gm
  • onion 3
  • tomato 4
  • garlic ginger paste 2 spoon
  • salt to taste
  • sugar 2 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Kasoori methi powder 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • cloves 4
  • Cardamon 4
  • cashew nuts 15
  • Milk 1/2 cup

How to make Paneer butter masala

  1. Soak cashews nuts for 2 hrs and make a smooth paste.
  2. Cut onions and grind them.
  3. Make tomato puree.
  4. In a pan add butter and shallow fry the paneer till it becomes soft and keep aside.
  5. In the same pan add butter. Once it melts add cloves and cardamon. Then add onion paste and garlic ginger paste. Saute it till raw smell goes.
  6. Then add tomato puree and cook it well. Add water when required.
  7. Then add tumeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala powder and salt and stir well.
  8. Add cashew nut paste and let it cook for 5 mins on a medium flame.
  9. Cut the panner into cubes and add to the gravy.
  10. Add sugar and methi powder and cook for another 5 mins.
  11. Garnish with coriander leaves.
