Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Ripe tomatoes 6 medium size
  2. Chopped onion 1 medium size
  3. Minced garlic 1 tsp
  4. Minced ginger 1/2 tsp
  5. salt as per taste
  6. Crushed black pepper 1/2 tsp
  7. sugar 1/2 tsp
  8. Chopped basil 1tsp
  9. Chopped coriander leaves 1tsp
  10. butter 1 cube
  11. Bay leaf 1 No


  1. Blanch the tomatoes for 2 mins and peel off the skin. Mash them and keep aside.
  2. Heat butter in a pan. Add bay leaf.
  3. Add chopped onion, garlic, ginger, salt, pepper and saute for 5 mins.
  4. Add mashed tomatoes and 2 cup water.
  5. Cook for 5 mins on a low flame.
  6. Switch off the gas and let it be cool.
  7. Blend this mixture and strain it.
  8. Add chopped basil and coriander leaves to it.
  9. Immediately serve in soup bowl with butter.
