Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Maida 1 cup
  2. 1 big banana
  3. 3 tbs sugar
  4. 1tsp baking soda
  5. 3 tbsp Curd
  6. 1 tbsp ghee
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Jeera 2 tsp
  9. Oil for frying


  1. Mash the banana well so that there are no lumps. You can use food processor or mixie. To this add sugar ,curd,salt ghee, jeera and salt. Mix well. Now add all purpose flour and knead well without adding water. It should be very soft and smooth and sticky. Cover with a damp cloth and keep aside for 6 to 7 hours .
  2. Heat the Kadai or a pan. Add oil and when it is hot roll the dough into small puris. They should not be thin nor thick. Slowly drop the puri in the hot oil and fry until brown in color. This is a Mangalore special snack it is very tasty and delicious .
  3. Serve this with sambar and chutney. I am sure every body will like this snack as it is very soft and tasty.
