ABOUT Prawn Fry RECIPE

Simple gravy goes well with steamed rice.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Prawns : 1/2 kg
  2. Onion:3 big (chopped)
  3. Garlic:1 small cup (chopped)
  4. Curry leaves: 1/4 cup
  5. Chilli powder: 1 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Coriander powder:2 teaspoons
  7. Turmeric powder:1/2 teaspoon
  8. Salt: as required
  9. Oil: for frying

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Fry chopped onions, curry leaves and garlic.
  2. Saute till onion turns golden brown .
  3. Add prawns, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt .
  4. Fry altogether on a low flame and keep stirring at regular intervals.
  5. Once the oil comes up turn off flame and garnish with coriander leaves.
  6. We can make either deep or shallow fry as per wish .
