Bread Apple Pie Pockets

Ingredients to make Bread Apple Pie Pockets

  • apples 2 large
  • lemon juice 2tsp
  • cinnamon Powder 3tsp
  • nutmeg Powder 1 1/2 tsp
  • cloves 3
  • sugar 7 tbsp
  • butter 2 tbsp
  • White Bread slices 9
  • oil for frying
  • water as required

How to make Bread Apple Pie Pockets

  1. Wash, peel, and chop apples into small cubes.
  2. Toss apple cubes with lemon juice.
  3. Set a pan to heat at medium.
  4. Transfer apple cubes, butter, sugar, all spices, and mix.
  5. Allow apples to cook till tender (almost reduced to 70% quantity).
  6. Transfer the apple mix to another bowl and allow to cool down.
  7. Trim away crusts of bread slices.
  8. Flatten with a rolling pin, and cut each slice in two parts, one larger than the other.
  9. Transfer a portion pf apple mix on to the smaller piece of slice and cover with the larger piece.
  10. Wet the edges of the bread with water and seal to make a pocket.
  11. Trim away the extra bread for more neatness.
  12. Prepare all pockets.
  13. Heat oil at medium
  14. Once oil is ready, reduce heat to between low and medium and fry the apple pie pockets from both sides till light golden.
  15. Enjoy warm apple pie pockets!

My Tip:

Serve with a drizzle of honey, maple syrup, or a mix of cinnamon powder and powdered sugar. Or enjoy as it is.
