ABOUT Peanut Brittle ( Chikki ) RECIPE

This is hands down my childhood sweetheart . Whether it be my generation or the present , people's love for this has remained eternal .

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. sugar 3/4th cup
  2. peanuts 1 cup, roasted, deskinned and crushed
  3. 2 tsp ghee

Instructions

  1. In a non stick pan , add the sugar along with a tsp of ghee and heat it on low flame by continuosly stirring it . This is a must .
  2. It is a little tedious process , but the end result is worth it .
  3. Once the sugar starts changing the colour and gets mixed well , add the peanuts immediately .
  4. Mix it well .
  5. Remove it on a well greased steel plate or your kitchen counter .
  6. With the help of a greased rolling pin , flatten it up a bit so that it is even .
  7. While it is still warm , make the cuts as desired .
  8. Let it cool completely before digging in .
