ABOUT Palak Rice RECIPE

Healthy and delicious rice made using Indian spinach and mild spices.This is my 13 yr old niece's recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Palak 1 1/2 cup
  2. Cooked rice 2cup
  3. Green chili 4-5 (As per your taste)
  4. Ginger 1/2inch
  5. Garlic 6-7
  6. Tomato 1
  7. Salt
  8. Haldi 1/4tsp
  9. Red chili powder 1/4tsp
  10. Onion 1
  11. curry leaves
  12. Coriander leaves 2-3tsp
  13. Ghee 1tsp
  14. Oil 2sp
  15. Ajino moto (Chinese salt)a pinch(optional)
  16. Shezwan fried rice powder 1tsp(optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil spinach in hot water for 2-3 min and drain the spinach and keep it aside.
  2. In a blender, add spinach, coriander, green chili , ginger , garlic,tomato and blend it to a smooth paste.
  3. Heat oil and ghee in a cooking vessel, add the sliced onions and curry leaves.Saute for 4 minutes. Now add ground paste and saute further for 5 minutes. Then add salt, red chilli powder,haldi, ajino moto and Shezwan fried rice powder mix well. At last add cooked rice and mix well and check the seasoning.
  4. Serve hot with raita or any curry of your choice or simply enjoy the delicious palak rice .
