Ingredients to make Jalebi

  • maida - 1/2 cup
  • sugar -3/4th Cup
  • besan - 1 Tsp
  • curd - 1/4th Cup
  • Elachi - 3 powdered
  • baking soda - 1/4th Tsp
  • oil - To deep fry
  • water - some
  • Color - a pinch
  • lemon - 1/4th Tsp

How to make Jalebi

  1. Add maida, besan, baking soda, curd, water and mix the ingredients well. The batter consistency should be thin.
  2. Pour the batter into a sauce bottle and keep aside.
  3. Make a sugar syrup. For this add sugar, water, elaichi and few lemon drops and bring into the string consistency. Take off the stove.
  4. Heat the oil and pour the batter into rounds to make a jalebi shape . After the jalebis are deep fried, add the jalebis to the sugar syrup and after 5 mins they are ready to serve.
