Aloo Matar

Ingredients to make Aloo Matar

  • potato medium 4 to 5
  • peas mashed in mixer 1 bowl
  • oil
  • salt
  • Green chilli
  • Paanchforan 1/2 tspn
  • Dry red chilli 2
  • water

How to make Aloo Matar

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Now add dry red chilli and paanchforan
  2. Cut the potatoes into small pieces. Do not cut it too small else it would get mashed
  3. Now add the pieces of potato in the pan. Add salt and mix. Cover the pan
  4. After 3 minutes, saute and fry the potatoes a little
  5. Add water to semi boil the potato
  6. When it gets boiled, add the peas paste
  7. Cook on low flame, keep on stirring and frying the mixture till water evaporates and the colour changes.
  8. If required, you can add little oil from side
  9. Add slit green chilli and serve hot.
