ABOUT Bombay Potato RECIPE

Bombay potato is a very delicious pan fried diced potato curry.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Potatoes 2 large size
  2. Green Chilli paste 1 tbsp
  3. Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  4. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  5. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  6. coriander powder 1 tsp
  7. Salt according to taste
  8. Ghee or oil 3 tbsp
  9. Water for boiling potato

Instructions

  1. Put the whole potatoes into a large saucepan of salted water and bring them to a boil.
  2. Simmer until cooked but not too soft
  3. Drain the potatoes and cut into 4
  4. Now take a non-stick pan and heat oil or ghee on medium flame.
  5. Add mustard seeds .
  6. When it starts crackling, add diced potatoes and green chilli paste.
  7. Saute it for 2 minutes
  8. Now add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt
  9. Mix it properly with a spoon
  10. Now cover with a lid and let it cook for 10 minutes on low flame.
  11. After that open the lid and mix
  12. Your Bombay potato is now ready to serve.
  13. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
