ABOUT Hyderabadi Lauz/Khajoor... RECIPE

A very famous awesomest deep fried snack of Hyderabad. Every Hydi loves it and knows it. As a child i have many sweet memories associated with it and now i want the same for my kids too.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. All purpose flour 3 cups
  2. Semolina 1 cup
  3. Eggs 2
  4. Sugar either powdered or plain 1/2 cup
  5. Milk a cup
  6. Butter or ghee 3 tbsp
  7. Dry fruits powdered 1/2 cup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make a smooth dough out of all the ingredients.
  2. Add water if required.
  3. Let the dough rest for 20 mins.
  4. Divide the dough as desired and roll it into 2" thick roti and cut into diamond shapes
  5. Deep fry on medium flame only. It is important. It needs to be fried very well.
  6. Enjoy them hot or even after cooling them down.
  7. Store them in an airtight container after thoroughly cooled down.
