Cheesy Cake Salad

Ingredients to make Cheesy Cake Salad

  • 4'' - 6'' block of cottage cheese
  • 2 cup curd cheese - made from hung curds.
  • 1 tbsp grated carrots
  • 1 tbsp cabbage finely chopped
  • 2 cucumbers sliced
  • 3 tomatoes sliced.
  • 2 carrots sliced
  • 2 capsicums shredded
  • 1/2 whole green lentil sprouts
  • Salt sugar pepper & mustard powder to taste.

How to make Cheesy Cake Salad

  1. Slice the cottage cheese (paneer) horizontally into 3 or 4 slices.
  2. Beat the curd cheese with salt sugar to taste and 1/4 tsp of pepper and mustard powder. Add some milk to attain a creamy consistency.
  3. Take 3/4 of the above add grated carrot and cabbage .
  4. Fill the layers of paneer with this mixture.
  5. Use the rest to cover the cheesy cake and lay it on a bed of fresh salad
  6. Immerse the sliced paneer in boiling water and then pat dry before use.
  7. Store the curd cheese in the fridge as it is easier to work with when it is cold.
  8. Serve with boiled eggs on the side along with vegetables and herbs.

My Tip:

I always like to vary the taste with fresh herbs like mint/basil/chilli flakes and grated processed cheese etc.
