About Sooji Kheer Recipe

Sooji Kheer is an Indian dessert that is delicious and very light and easy to digest.

Sooji Kheer

Ingredients to make Sooji Kheer

  • 50 grams sooji
  • 500 ml Full cream Milk
  • 100 grams sugar
  • 2 tablespoon ghee
  • almonds and Raisins for garnish

How to make Sooji Kheer

  1. Heat the ghee in a kadhai, add the semolina and saute, stir continuously so it doesn’t burn.
  2. Cook till the semolina gets a light brown, even colour.
  3. In a saucepan, bring the milk to a boil with sugar, so it dissolves. Gently add the hot milk to the sooji, it will sputter.
  4. Cook for 8-10 minutes till the sooji kheer is thick and stir gently so it doesn’t become lumpy.
  5. Garnish with almonds and raisins. Serve hot

My Tip:

You can also garnish with sliced pitachios
