Deep fried paneer and potato dumplings with creamy tomato gravy.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For Koftas -
  2. Cottage Cheese 1/2 cup
  3. Boiled potatoes 2
  4. Corn flour - 1 tbsp
  5. Salt 1/2 tsp
  6. Garam masala 1/2 tesp
  7. Green chilli 1
  8. Chopped green coriander 1 tbsp
  9. Oil for Deep frying
  10. For gravy -
  11. Oil 1 tbsp
  12. Tomatoes 2 big
  13. Ginger 1 inch
  14. Green chilli 1
  15. Cinnamon stick 1 inch
  16. Cloves 2
  17. Salt 1 tsp
  18. Sugar 1/2 tsp
  19. Malai 1/2 cup
  20. Corn flour 1 tsp
  21. Milk 3/4th cup

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients of koftas and divide into 8 balls.
  2. Make a thick slurry of 2 tsp all- purpose flour and 1/4th cup of water.
  3. Dip all kofta balls in slurry and deep fry. Do it one by one to be on safe side.
  4. Grind tomatoes, ginger, green chilli, cinnamon stick and cloves to a smooth paste.
  5. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Add tomato paste.
  6. Season with salt.
  7. Fry till fat start releasing.
  8. Dissolve 1 tsp cornflour in malai and add to pan. Roast stirring constantly till fat start oozing out.
  9. Add milk and sugar. Mix well. Give a boil then simmer for around 5 minutes to get desired consistency .
  10. While serving place koftas in serving dish then pour hot gravy over them.
  11. Garnish with cream and coriander leaves.
