This is a very healthy recipe specially for the kids who does not like bananas and dry fruits

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 60 gm(1/3 cup) softened salted butter
  2. 1/3 cup Milk
  3. 1 tsp Vanilla essence
  4. 1 small ripe banana-pureed in a small grinder
  5. 55 gm(1/2 cup)whole wheat flour (atta)
  6. 55 gm(1/2 cup) plain flour (maida)
  7. 3/4 tsp Baking Powder
  8. 1 egg
  9. 100gm(3/4 cup)powdered sugar
  10. 1/4 cup blueberry jam or any other jam
  11. walnut 1/4 cup
  12. Paper cups (optional)


  1. Line muffin tins with greased paper cups
  2. Beat egg till fluffy.
  3. Sift both flours with baking powder and keep aside.
  4. Micro wave butter and milk for 2 mins in a big bowl.
  5. Add essence, sugar and banana puree,beat till creamy
  6. Add flour and beaten egg.
  7. Add chopped walnuts
  8. Fold gently with a spoon to get a soft dropping consistency batter. Do not over mix.
  9. Spoon batter into paper cups, filling half of the cup.spoon 1 tbsp jam.cover with some more batter.
  10. Bake at 180 degree C for 25 minutes in a preheated oven.
  11. Timing may vary from oven to oven.
