Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Jeera chambha rice 1kg
  2. Mutton 1Kg
  3. Onions chopped 250gms
  4. Tomatoes chopped 250gms
  5. Oil 1 cup
  6. Corriander leaves 1 handful
  7. Mint leaves 1 handful
  8. Green chillies 10
  9. Cardamoms 6
  10. Cloves 6
  11. Cinnamon 2 sticks
  12. Ginger paste 2 tbsp
  13. Garlic paste 2 tbsp
  14. Red chilli powder 1tbsp
  15. Curd 100 gms
  16. Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  17. Water 1 cup
  18. Salt to taste
  19. Ghee 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Take a deep bottomed vessel and put over the stove. Now light the fire and add oil to the vessel when it is hot
  2. Now add cardamom cloves and cinnamon to it and fry nicely
  3. Now add onions to it and fry till golden brown
  4. Now add ginger garlic paste and saute well till the raw smell goes away
  5. Now add corriander and mint leaves and mix well
  6. Now add green chillies and chilli powder
  7. Now add mutton pieces and curd together and mix well so that the curd mix with every mutton pieces. This process will give mutton a very nice pink colour even after cooking
  8. Now add tomatoes and mix well till it is mashed well and the raw smell goes off
  9. Now add water and salt to it and close the lid so that the mutton cooks well
  10. Mean while take another vessel with water in it and keep it for boilling add salt to it
  11. When the water gets boiled add rice to it and make sure it is cooked till 85%
  12. Now drain the rice and keep aside
  13. Now add rice to the mutton mixture if the mutton is cooked and mix slightly .make sure that the rice doesn't break
  14. Now add ghee on the top and cover with a foil paper or a clothe to give a perfect dum
  15. Dum the biryani for 15mins in low flame and keep aside
  16. Break the dum after 10 mins and serve with baigan khata and raita
  17. Enjoy with your family
