Ingredients: For the Watermelon Sangria:; Water melon cubed (deseeded) - 2 & a 1/2 cup; 1/2 cup - White Wine; 1/3 cup - Vodka; 1 tbsp - sugar syrup; 1 tbsp - triple sec (Cointreau); 1/2 - orange wedges; 1/2 - lemon quartered; 1 tbsp - blue berries (optional); For the Cucumber Musk Melon freeze; 2 cups - cucumber chopped; 2 cups - melon chopped; 1 cup - Gin; 1/2 cup - honey; 2 tbsp - fresh lemon juice; 2 quarters - lemon; 2 wedges - orange; Crushed ice; Wheels of cucumber/lemon for garnish

Melon of any kind is my favourite for a cocktail or a punch. Here are two of my popular summer thirst quenchers.

Ingredients Serving: 2

For the Watermelon Sangria:
Water melon cubed (deseeded) - 2 & a 1/2 cup
1/2 cup - White Wine
1/3 cup - Vodka
1 tbsp - sugar syrup
1 tbsp - triple sec (Cointreau)
1/2 - orange wedges
1/2 - lemon quartered
1 tbsp - blue berries (optional)
For the Cucumber Musk Melon freeze
2 cups - cucumber chopped
2 cups - melon chopped
1 cup - Gin
1/2 cup - honey
2 tbsp - fresh lemon juice
2 quarters - lemon
2 wedges - orange
Crushed ice
Wheels of cucumber/lemon for garnish

Instructions

Water melon Sangria:
Puree 2 cups of water melon and strain through a mesh strainer. Pour into a glass jug.
Add 1/2 cup white wine, 1/3 cup vodka, 1 tbsp sugar syrup and 1 tbsp triple sec. Mix well with a stirrer.
Add the melon pieces, lime quarters, orange wedges and chill for 3-4 hours before serving.
Cucumber Musk Melon freeze:
In a blender combine all ingredients except for garnish and some ice.
Blend well, pour into glasses and serve.The fruits should be chilled before putting into the blender.
Garnish with crushed ice and the fruit /cucumber wheels.
