ABOUT Fruit Curry RECIPE

A Mangalorean recipe made during festivals and weddings. The best part there is no cooking.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Mustard - 2 tsp
  2. Dry chillies - 5-6
  3. Grated coconut - 1 cup
  4. Jaggery - 1/2 cup
  5. Apple - 1 chopped
  6. Pineapple - 1/2 cup
  7. Bananas - 2, chopped
  8. Mango - 1, chopped
  9. Grapes - 1/2 cup, halved

Instructions

  1. In a blender, grind mustard and dry chillies, till just coarse.
  2. Add coconut and jaggery and grind along with about 1/2 cup of water. The paste has to be a little coarse not very fine. Keep aside.
  3. Take chopped fruits in a bowl. Add salt and mix. Add the ground paste to this and mix well. Add water if required.
  4. Keep in the refrigerator. It is to be served cold, as a side dish alongside a rice meal.
