Plum Crumble

Ingredients to make Plum Crumble

  • 5-6 plums sliced
  • 1/4 cup milkmaid
  • 4 tsp butter
  • For the crumble topping -
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 6 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 pinch Baking Powder
  • 2-3 drops vanilla essence

How to make Plum Crumble

  1. Preheat oven at 180 degrees C
  2. In a bowl take milkmaid and butter and microwave for 20-30secs. Mix till well incorporated. Keep aside to cool.
  3. Take 2 ramekin moulds, grease with butter and fill half with plum slices. Generously top it with milkmaid mixture.
  4. Mix all the ingredients of crumble topping and divide in both the moulds. Press lightly with the help of spoon.
  5. Bake at 180 C for around 40-45mins till the top is golden brown.
  6. Serve warm or at room temperature with a scoop of vanilla icecream.

My Tip:

If your plums are too sour, then top it with milkmaid mixture and leave for few hours to marinate so that the sourness reduces. After 40 mins keep an eye on the dessert. It starts browning quickly. And you don't want to end up with an over-browned dessert
