ABOUT Stuffed Steamed Chicken Roll with bottle gourd gravy RECIPE

When the price of onion was 100 rupees/kg I thought to make a bottle guard gravy with no onion.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For the chicken Roll: chicken Breat - 1 kg
  2. lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  3. salt to taste
  4. For the Stuffing: paneer - 1 cup
  5. raisins - 2 tsp
  6. Chopped cashew nuts - 2 tsp
  7. Green chili chopped - 1 tsp
  8. Chopped green mint leaves - 1 tsp
  9. Chopped green coriander - 1 tsp
  10. salt to taste
  11. spices Mix powder - 1/2 tsp
  12. lemon juice - 1/2 tsp
  13. For the Gravy: Bottle gourd paste - 2 cups
  14. ginger Garlic paste - 2 tsp
  15. oil - 1 tbsp
  16. cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  17. Nigella seeds - 1 tsp
  18. Shahi jeera -1/2 tsp
  19. tomato Puree - 1 cup
  20. (Cashew Nuts+Poppy Seeds+Melon Seeds) Paste - 1/2 CUP
  21. paneer - 1/2 cup
  22. 2 tsp - coriander powder
  23. 2 tsp - red chili powder
  24. 1 tsp - Haldi | turmeric Powder
  25. Mix Spice powder - 2 tsp
  26. Chopped coriander and Mint leaves

Instructions

  1. For Marination: Wash and cut open the chicken breast. Add in lemon juice, red chili powder and salt to marinate.
  2. For Stuffing: Mix in all the chopped ingredients for stuffing, keep on the chicken breast. Roll and steam for 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Heat some oil in a pan.
  4. Toss in cumin, nigella and shahi jeera seeds. As soon as they are done crackling, lower the flame on medium.
  5. Add in the bottle gourd paste and cook till it changes colour and becomes brown.
  6. Add in the tomato puree and ginger garlic paste. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes.
  7. Add in the cashews+poppy seeds+melon seeds paste. Cook for another 5 to 7 minutes.
  8. Add in all the dry spices and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
  9. Add in water as per ones desire for the kind of gravy requirement.
  10. Add stuffing mixtures and add salt to taste. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
  11. Now put the gravy on the plate followed by chicken rolls on top of it.
  12. Garnish with fresh coriander, cashews and raisins.
  13. Delicious steamed chicken roll with bottle gourd gravy is ready to be served.

Nice recipe! However can we skip the addition of paneer? Please suggest
