Ingredients to make Amla candy

  • amla-1 kg
  • sugar(can use khadi shakar or misri as it is good for health)-700 gms

How to make Amla candy

  1. Boil the amlas in water till semi soft.
  2. Drain water from amlas and deseed them.
  3. After they cool down add sugar.If taking khadi sakar grind it fine.
  4. Let this remain for at least 3 days.When sugar and amla mix with each other gradually syrup forms.Slowly the sweetness is absorbed in the amlas.
  5. Stir lightly with spoon once or twice in a day so that all amlas are covered in syrup.
  6. After 3 days put these amla pieces in a sieve so that all syrup is separated from the amlas.
  7. .Don't discard this syrup,can use this to make amla sharbat.
  8. Dry the amla pieces in a big thali in sun for at least 2 to 3 days.Whwn they become crisp you can fill them in bottles.
