Ingredients to make Mutton korma

  • Mutton pieces 1kg
  • onion chopped 5nos
  • tomatoes chopped 3nos
  • cardamom 2nos
  • cloves 2nos
  • cinnamon 1/2inch stick
  • ginger paste 1tbsp
  • garlic paste 1tbsp
  • Corriander leaves chopped 2tbsp
  • mint leaves 1tbsp
  • Drumsticks 1 cut into pieces
  • chilli powder- 1 tbsp
  • pepper powder 1/2tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/2tsp
  • Green chillies 2nos
  • 1/4 Coconut 1 tomato 1 onion nicely grounded into smooth paste- 1/2 cup
  • salt to taste

How to make Mutton korma

  1. Take a pressure cooker and heat it.
  2. Now add oil to it and add cardamom cloves and cinnamon.
  3. Now add onions and saute well until the onions turn into a golden brown colour.
  4. Now add ginger- garlic paste and saute well till the raw smell disappears.
  5. Now add coriander and mint leaves and saute.
  6. Add chilli powder and green chillies .
  7. Next add tomatoes and mix well till it is mashed and cook well.
  8. Now add mutton pieces and garam masala and mix well.
  9. Add enough water and pressure cook until the mutton cooks well.
  10. Add drumsticks and coconut paste mixture and pepper powder all together and mix well.
  11. Add water if required .
  12. Now close the lid and cook until one whistle and remove the pressure and serve hot in a bowl with roti or rice.

My Tip:

If you want you can even add more vegetables or potatoes.
