ABOUT Paneer Makhani RECIPE

Paneer in a red cashew based makhani gravy flavoured with fenugreek.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Paneer 250 gms
  2. Tomatoes 5 chopped
  3. Ginger 1"piece chopped
  4. Seeds of Green Cardamoms 2 crushed
  5. Butter 2tsp and oil 2tsp
  6. Sugar 1/2 tsp
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Cloves 2
  9. Cinnemon piece 1
  10. Garam masala 1/2tsp
  11. Degi mirch 1/2 tsp
  12. Tomato ketchup 1tsp
  13. Magaz or cashewnuts 4tsp soaked in 1/4 cup water & ground paste
  14. Kasoori methi 2tsp
  15. Milk 1cup
  16. Cream 3-4 tsp

Instructions

  1. Microwave tomatoes and ginger, onion, cloves and cinnamon in a deep dish with 1/2 cup water for 5 minutes.
  2. Blend tomatoes paste to a puree in a mixer.
  3. Microwave butter /ghee for 2 minutes, add illaichi powder mix add salt sugar red chilli powder and garam masala mix add fresh tomato puree and tomato ketchup mix very well microwave for 8 minutes stir once in between.
  4. Add magaz paste and kasoori methi mix well add 1/2 cup water microwave for 3 minutes.
  5. Add paneer and mix well add milk to get a thick red gravy and microwave for 3 minutes.
  6. Add cream, sprinkle coriander leaves on top and serve hot.
