ABOUT Oats Idli RECIPE

A level up in the healthiness, idlis are good for health and is an excellent breakfast option, by adding oats to it increases the fiber in it.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 cups Oats
  2. 1/2 litre curd
  3. 1 tbsp mustard seeds
  4. 1 tbsp urad dal
  5. 1/2 tbsp chana dal
  6. 1/2 tbsp oil
  7. 1 chopped green chilli
  8. 1 cup grated carrot
  9. 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander
  10. Salt as required
  11. Turmeric a pinch.
  12. Eno fruit salt a pinch

Instructions

  1. On a tawa dry roast oats until it turns slightly brown and then powder the oats in mixer.
  2. in a pan, add oil,mustard seeds,urad dal,chana dal and allow the mustard to splutter and the dals to turn golden.
  3. To this add chopped chillis,coriander and carrots.
  4. Add the turmeric and fry for a minute.
  5. Add this seasoning to the powdered oats mixture and add the curd to it to make a batter.
  6. Grease the idli steamer plates with oil and pour the batter into each mould.
  7. Steam the idlis for 15 minutes.
