ABOUT Pakora kadhi RECIPE

A staple curry that is made in almost all north Indian homes. Each region has a different version of this.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. moong dal - 1 cup
  2. besan [gram flour] - 1 cup
  3. Sour curd 2 cups
  4. fenugreek seeds [methi] 1/2 tsp
  5. Cumin seeds [jeera] - 1/2 tsp
  6. mustard seeds [sarson] 1/2 tsp
  7. curry leaves 7-8
  8. dried red chiily -1
  9. salt 1 tsp
  10. red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  11. turmeric powder - 1/4th tsp
  12. amchoor powder - 1/2 tsp
  13. salt
  14. Refined oil/ghee

Instructions

  1. Soak the dal for 1 hour , grind in a grinder using very less amount of water. keep it aside.
  2. Make a pakoda batter using besan and water. Now heat ample amount of oil in a kadhai, drop the besan batter in droplets to make the pakodas. Deep fry them, strain and keep aside.
  3. Heat about 1 tbsp of ghee in a heavy bottomed pan. add the methi, mustard seeds, curry leaves and dry red chillies.
  4. Once they splutter, add the powdered masalas, and add about 2 cups of water.
  5. Meanwhile, take the dal batter, curd and whisk together with about 4 cups of water, whisk well so that there are no lumps.
  6. Add the dal+curd mixture to the cooking masala in the kadhai and let it cook for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Add the fried pakodas and serve hot with rice or chapathi.

Nice! But you should edit your recipe and add each ingredient in one line and recipe method stepwise...
