ABOUT Chickpeas samosa RECIPE

Weight loss, does not mean of boiled and tasteless food. Healthy food will also help to reduce weight. Everybody loves samosas, so here is healthy and less calorific value samosas, by air fry method.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Whole wheat flour 1 Cup
  2. Oil 1 Tablespoon
  3. Carom seeds 1/2 Teaspoon
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Water As needed
  6. For filling -
  7. black chickpeas (boiled ) 1 cup
  8. Onion ( finally chopped) 1
  9. Ginger paste 1/2 tsp
  10. Mango powder 1 teaspoon
  11. Cumin powder 1 Teaspoon
  12. Garam masala 1/2 Teaspoon
  13. Green chili ( finely chopped) 1
  14. Salt to taste
  15. Oil (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, mix together all ingredients of the dough and knead to a stiff dough. Keep aside.
  2. For filling- heat a pan add asafetida, cumin seeds, onion and ginger saute for a minute. Add boiled chickpeas and spices, cook till all the moisture dried. Keep aside to cool.
  3. Divide the dough in small portions and roll in 5-6 inch circles, cut the circles in half.
  4. Take one of the semi circle, fold into a cone, stuff with the prepared filling, seal the edges using little water.
  5. Repeat for all semi circles. Pre heat air fryer to 200F. Place the prepared samosas and allow to cook for 7 minutes, brush with oil and flip the samosa to cook from another side for 6 mins.
  6. Serve with your favorite chutney
