Ingredients to make Tandoori chicken

  • 800 grm chicken with bone cut into eight peices
  • Half cup Hung curd
  • one n half tblspn ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tblspn Kashmiri red chilly powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1 lemon Juice
  • 2 tblspn mustard oil

How to make Tandoori chicken

  1. For first marination ; wash the chicken pieces thoroughly and pat them dry.
  2. Make 3 slits on each chicken piece, this helps in better absorption of the spices while marinating.
  3. In a bowl take juice of one lemon add 3tspn of salt ,one tspn ginger paste,one tspn garlic paste,1tbspn kashmiri red chilly powder
  4. Mix all ingredients properly and apply on each peices of chicken nicely and leave it to marinate for one hour
  5. For second marination; take about half cup hung curd in a bowl.
  6. Add half tspn slt,one tspn kashmiri red chilly powder,one tapn ginger garlic paste,two tblspn mustard oil
  7. Mix them properly and apply it on the chicken nicely
  8. Now keep it for 30 minutes.
  9. Now on a high rack in a black nonstick tawa out all the chicken peices and grill them
  10. In a ten min interval apply some oil on the chicken pieces.
  11. When the chicken is roasted proper;y and has a nice color on it, remove then chicken pieces from heat and squeeze some lemon juice, sprinkle some chaat masala and serve with yogurt mint chutney and sliced onions.

My Tip:

First marination is very important .keep your first marinated chicken atleast for one hour
