Ingredients to make Methi Paak

  • 2 cups full of wheat flour
  • 1 Cup jaggery
  • 2 tablespoon ghee
  • 2/3rd tablespoon of fenugeek seed powder or methi powder
  • Small cup of edible gunder or gum

How to make Methi Paak

  1. Take 2 table spoon of ghee in a pan/Kadai, after ghee is hot and is ready to use add 2 cup full of Flour. Keep the Gas flame at the lowest and stir until the flour starts smelling cooked or the color changes to brownish.
  2. In the other pan fry gum or gunder. It will pop.
  3. After the gum ready, crush the same by palm [do not grind]. Once the wheat flour is browned, add methi powder, gunder . Stir well.
  4. Put off the flame
  5. Lastly add finely chopped jaggery. Stir it thoroughly and non stop until it completely melts and mixes all together
  6. Take plate or thali and pour the mixture into it
  7. Spread it evenly in the plate and cut it into pieces. Leave it for sometimes until it comes to room temperature
  8. Take out and store it or serve it.

My Tip:

Whenever you use jaggery switch off the flame, Jaggery melts itself.
