ABOUT Diet Salad 2 (Russian Salad) RECIPE

This is one of the recipes by my mother. I often make this when the diet mode is on at my place, very nutritious and very easy to make.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. white chana
  2. cucumber-1 peeled and diced (check for bitterness)
  3. carrot -1 or 2 grated
  4. onion big -1 or 2
  5. Coriander leaves 1/4 cup
  6. mustard seeds 1/2 tspoon
  7. split black gram dal-1 tsp
  8. Oil -1 tsp
  9. 1/2 cup mayonnaise(Optional)
  10. Flaxseeds powder- 2 tspoon
  11. Salt - 1/2 tspoon

Instructions

  1. Pressure cook white chana with little salt
  2. cut onion into small pieces fry in 1 tea spoon oil with little salt till translucent(Optional)
  3. In a bowl add cucumber, carrot add little salt and mix it. to this add onions, boiled chana
  4. In a kadai add oil add mustard seeds and after it splutters add black gram dal fry till golden and add to the veg mixture along with the flax seed powder and stir them well,optionally can be mixed with the mayonnaise.
  5. Garnish with coriander leaves
  6. Salad is ready to serve
