ABOUT GOBI MANCHURIAN RECIPE

Gobi manchurian is the favourite of any indo chinese food lover. This recipe is simple to make as well as very tasty.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cauliflower cut into medium sized florets
  2. 3/4 cup maida
  3. 1/2 tbsp finely chopped ginger
  4. 1/2 tbsp finely chopped garlic
  5. 2 tbsp Soya sauce
  6. 1 tbsp Vinegar
  7. 1 tbsp tomato sauce
  8. 1/2 tsp Ajinomoto
  9. 2-3 chopped green chillies
  10. 1 capsicum cut into cubes
  11. 2 tbsp chopped carrots
  12. 2 tbsp chopped spring onions
  13. 1 tbsp Corn Flour
  14. Salt to taste
  15. Black Pepper to taste
  16. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Put cauliflower florets in hot water with salt. Let it remain soaked for 2 minutes. Drain the water.
  2. Make a smooth batter of maida, corn flour, chopped ginger, garlic, salt- pepper using water.
  3. Heat oil in a heavy bottomed kadhai on a medium flame. Dip cauliflower florets in the batter and deep fry until it gets golden brown and take out on a tissue paper.
  4. Heat some oil in a pain. Add chopped green chilies,ginger,garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  5. Add spring onions and sauté for another one minute.
  6. Add capsicum ,carrots and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Now add ajinomoto, soya sauce,vinegar and tomato sauce to it. Mix well.
  8. Add corn flour mixed with water to the mixture and stir continuously till it resumes boiling. Boil till the gravy becomes shiny.
  9. Then add fried cauliflower florets . Boil for two more minutes and remove.
  10. Garnish with green coriander and serve hot with noodles or rice.
