Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For Samosa Filling: 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  2. 1 teaspoon Urad dal
  3. 4-5 Curry leaves
  4. 1 tablespoon red chili powder paste(Red chili mix with some water)
  5. 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder Pinch of asafoetida
  6. 2 medium size boiled and grated potatoes
  7. 1/4 teaspoon Garam masala
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 1 tablespoon oil
  10. 1 teaspoon sugar powder
  11. 1/4 teaspoon Chaat masala
  12. cilantro [for garnishing]
  13. For Garnishing: Some Sweet tamarind-dates chutney
  14. 20-30 Crackers (I used RITZ original crackers)

Instructions

  1. For Samosa Filling: Heat the pan with oil. Add cumin seeds and urad dal.
  2. Cook for 1-2 mins. Add chopped curry leaves and red chili powder paste, turmeric powder and asafoetida.
  3. Cook for a minute and add boiled and grated potatoes in it. Mix well.
  4. Add garam masala, salt, sugar, chaat masala and chopped cilantro. Mix well for another 1-2 mins and turn off the stove. Let it cool down.
  5. To Assemble Samosa Bites: Start with crackers, top with 1 or 1 1/2 teaspoon Samosa filling.
  6. Top with 1/4 teaspoon sweet chutney. Sprinkle some chopped cilantro. Repeat with remaining crackers.
  7. Serve immediately.
