ABOUT Red chilli chutney RECIPE

This is like a side dish which can be eaten with stuffed parathas.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Fresh red chilli 250 gm
  2. Garlic 20 cloves
  3. Coriander 1/2 cup [chopped]
  4. Jaggery 1 tbsp (optional)
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Tamarind paste 1tsp
  7. For tempering:
  8. oil 1 tbsp
  9. Asafoetida 1/4 tsp
  10. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  11. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  12. Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  13. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Wash red chillies and clean them with a dry cloth. Roughly chop red chillies and remove seeds as much is possible.
  2. Take mixer jar and put chopped chillies, garlic, tamarind, jaggery and chopped coriander and grind them without adding water.
  3. Take a pan heat oil and then add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and asafoetida , then add the chilli paste to the pan and cook .
  4. Then add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt and keep stirring in between.
  5. Cook till the moisture get absorb.
  6. Cool and store it in a air tight jar.
