ABOUT Drumstick curry RECIPE

Nutritious drumsticks rich in iron,calcium and has antibiotic properties also cooked in yoghurt based curry.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Drumsticks-250 gms
  2. Besan-2 tbsp
  3. Curd-1 cup
  4. Gingergarlic paste-1 tsp
  5. Green chilli-finely sliced
  6. Sugar-1tsp
  7. salt
  8. coriander for garnishing


  1. Cut drumsticks in 3 inches pieces and cook in pressure cooker with little water for 2 whistles.
  2. Mix curd,besan and 2 cups water and blend nicely.
  3. Take a pan.Add oil for seasoning.when it becomes hot add mustard seeds,cumin seeds, asafoetida and then ginger garlic paste.Add green chillies and then the curd mix.
  4. Keep stirring on medium heat.Add salt,turmeric ,red chilli powder,and sugar.
  5. Boil for 5 minutes,add the water in which drumsticks were cooked to this curry.Add the boiled drumsticks and cook covered for 3 to 4 minutes.
  6. Garnish with coriander and serve with hot fulkas and rice.
