Ingredients to make Coconut Chutney (Nariyal ki chutney)

  • 3/4 cup Chopped fresh or frozen coconut
  • ½ inch piece ginger(optional)
  • ½ onion, chopped
  • 2 green chillies, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • for tempering-
  • ½ tsp mustard seeds
  • 2-3 dry red chillies
  • 10 curry leaves/kadi patta
  • 1 tsp oil
  • salt as required

How to make Coconut Chutney (Nariyal ki chutney)

  1. Combine Coconut pieces, onion, green chillies, ginger(if using) and Cumin seeds in the blender and blitz till smooth, adding a little water at intervals.Transfer to a bowl and add salt according to taste
  2. Prepare the tempering- Heat oil in a small skillet, add mustard seeds, dry chillies, curry leaves. Pour over chutney and serve.
