Instant Jalebis

Ingredients to make Instant Jalebis

  • For the Batter :
  • 1 cup Refined flour ( maida)
  • ½ cup curd
  • 1 ½ tsp rice flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • few drops of yellow food colour
  • For the Syrup:
  • 1 ½ cup sugar
  •  cup water
  • pistachios for garnish
  • oil to fry

How to make Instant Jalebis

  1. In a bowl mix together Refined flour, rice flour, beaten curd, baking powder and yellow colour and make a smooth batter.
  2. Fill this batter in a piping bag and keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan . Prefer pan than kadhai as shape is maintained properly in pan than kadhai.
  4. On other side prepare the sugar syrup (chasni) of one string consistency with sugar and water.
  5. Let it cool a bit.
  6. Now pour the batter into circular shape in hot oil to achieve the shape of jalebis.
  7. Fry them and immediately immerse in the sugar syrup.
  8. Take out and transfer to the serving dish.
  9. Garnish with dry fruits pistachio etc and your sweet delicacy is ready to enjoy.

My Tip:

1. Remove the scum of sugar syrup by adding i tsp milk to it and then strain the sugar syrup. 2. Leave the batter very close to oil to get perfect shape and not from far above.
