Ingredients to make Rice kheer

  • Basmati rice 1/4 cup
  • Milk 3 cup
  • sugar 1/4 cup
  • Cardemom powder 1/4 tsp
  • Few strands saffron
  • Chopped cashew nuts 1/2 tbsp
  • Chopped almonds nuts 1/2 tbsp
  • raisins 1/2 tbsp

How to make Rice kheer

  1. Take milk in a heavy bottom pan.turn the heat on medium .let the milk come to a boil.
  2. Once it starts boiling add rice .stir well and let it simmer on low medium heat 20-25 min.or till the rice is tender and cooked .do stir every 5 min.and make sure that rice or milk is not sticking to the pan.
  3. Check by pinching the rice grain .it will mash very easily .
  4. Now add sugar and cardamom powder, stir it well.
  5. Also add saffron strands and chopped cashew ,almond,and raisins mix well .
  6. Let it simmer for 6-7 min.it should be thick now. serve.
