Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Maize Flour - 1/2 Cup
  2. Wheat Flour - 1/4 cup
  3. Ajwain - 1 tsp
  4. Salt - 1/2 tsp
  5. Water as required to knead the dough
  6. Oil - 1 Cup for frying + 2 tbsp while mixing the dough


  1. In a mixing bowl combine the maize flour, wheat flour, salt, 2 tbsp oil and Ajwain.
  2. Rub the flour well in between the to incorporate the oil well.
  3. Mix nicely and add water little by little and knead it into a fine dough.
  4. Now take medium size portions of the dough and roll to balls.
  5. Take the balls and slightly dust it in flour to prevent from sticking to the board and flatten it with the help of a rolling pin. With the help of a knife cut it into desired shapes.
  6. Prick it with a fork to avoid fluffing up in oil and in turn making the nacho chips crisp.
  7. Heat oil in a frying pan.
  8. When the oil is hot reduce the flame and drop the Nachos in batches.
  9. Fry them in medium heat till golden and crispy.
  10. Drain and serve with any salsa, sauce or dip of your choice or just sprinkle some chilly powder and oregano and serve or just serve as it is.
