I want to prepare some snack for my kid...Since I want the snack to be healthy and tasty, I decided to try something out of ragi and cocoa powder and ended up with this luscious ragi choco lollipop

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Ragi 1/2 cup
  2. Cocoa powder (2-3) tbsp
  3. Granulated sugar 3/4 cup
  4. Milk 1/2 cup
  5. Crushed sugar 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Dry roast the ragi powder and cocoa powder in a kadai. Roast it in a low flame until the raw smell goes. It will take a minimum of 20 minutes. Keep stirring it to avoid burning and over roasting. The ragi powder should be roasted well even
  2. Now, add milk to the mixture little by little.
  3. Mix it well. It should not become soggy. The mixture should able to hold a ball.
  4. Pinch a small portion of the mixture and make them into balls.
  5. Crush the granulated sugar lightly in a mortar pestle.
  6. Dip the balls in the crushed sugar.
  7. Insert a tooth-pick or skewers to the balls.
  8. Refrigerate it for a minimum of 30 minutes or until it is firm.
  9. Before serving dip the balls again in the crushed sugar and enjoy.
