ABOUT Chocolate Cinnamon Rolls RECIPE

Cinnamon Rolls , the best and refreshing dessert . To make things more enthralling , I applied chocolate ganache in replacement of the traditional glaze . The chocolaty flavour of the bread , quite amusingly , infuses with the cinnamon and melts in your mouth delightfully .

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 1 1/2 cups Flour
  2. 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  3. 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  4. 2 1/2 tbsp yeast
  5. 3/4 cup warm water
  6. An additional tsp of sugar
  7. 1/4 cup oil
  8. 1/2 cup milk powder
  9. FOR THE FILLING :-
  10. 1 cup of cinnamon powder
  11. Another 1 cup of powdered sugar
  12. 1/2 cup of melted butter
  13. FOR THE GANACHE :-
  14. 1 cup milk
  15. 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  16. 3/4th cup castor sugar
  17. 2 tbsp Butter

Instructions

  1. To your warm water , add a tsp of sugar and the yeast . Let it rest in a warm place .
  2. In another bowl , add in the flour , cocoa powder , sugar , oil and milk powder .
  3. Use the yeast water to knead the dough .
  4. Let this dough rise for an hour by setting it in a warm place .
  5. Once done , roll out the dough into a rectangle of about half an inch thick .
  6. Preheat your oven to 180° .
  7. Apply the melted butter followed by sugar and cinnamon powder .
  8. Start by folding the dough from one corner till it reaches the end and pinch it gently to secure .
  9. Cut the rolled dough into slices of about quarter of an inch thick .
  10. Place these in your ready pan and let it rest in a warm place for an additional half an hour .
  11. Let these bake for 20-25 minutes .
  12. While those are baking , let's prepare the ganache .
  13. In a saucepan , mix the butter , milk , cocoa powder and castor sugar .
  14. Cook this on low to medium flame , stirring constantly till it thickens .
  15. Once done , let it cool completely .
  16. Bring out your cinnamon rolls and let them rest .
  17. Just as how you would apply your glaze , apply the ganache .
  18. Enjoy !
