ABOUT Falafel RECIPE

Non fried version of basic east Indian falafal recipe

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chickpeas 1 cup
  2. Small onion chopped
  3. Ginger garlic paste 1 teaspoon
  4. Green chillies as hot you like
  5. lemon juice 1 tablespoon
  6. Olive oil 1 tablespoon
  7. salt as per taste
  8. Mixed herbs 1 teaspoon (optional)
  9. 2-3 teaspoon of oil to use in appe pan

Instructions

  1. Soak chickpeas overnight or 6-7 hours
  2. Cook chickpeas with little salt and sufficient water
  3. Strain water and pat dry chickpeas so that no water contains will be there
  4. Coarsely grind these chickpeas and all above mentioned ingredients except oil have to use in appe pan
  5. Now make small balls of this mixture
  6. Grease appe pan and roast all balls from all the sides till golden brown and crisp
  7. Serve with green chutney
