ABOUT Dhokla RECIPE

Everybody loves dhokla, it has become one of the popular snacks , so follow this easy recipe to make some delicious dhokla at home.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Chana dal 2 cups
  2. Rice 1 cup
  3. Dahi 1 cup
  4. Salt
  5. Garlic paste 1tsp
  6. Turmeric Powder
  7. Fruit salt 1tbsp
  8. Green Chilli paste 1 tsp
  9. Oil 2tbsp
  10. For Seasoning
  11. oil 2 tbsp
  12. Sesmae seeds
  13. curry leaves
  14. Hing
  15. Mustard seeds
  16. sugar 1tsp

Instructions

  1. Soak dal and rice in separately for 4hrs
  2. Grind dal and rice with dahi and keep it for fermentation overnight.
  3. To the fermented mixture add garlic paste, green chilli paste, turmeric powder, salt and 2 tbsp oil . Mix it properly for 5 mins.
  4. Add 1tbsp fruit salt.
  5. Transfer the mixture to greased container and steam it for 20mis.
  6. By the time keep the seasoning ready
  7. Take oil in pan add mustered seeds, sesame seeds, curry leaves, cut green chilli, add water, salt, sugar and bring it to boil.
  8. Once the dhokla is ready pour the seasoning over it.
  9. Serve hot with sauce or chutney.
