Ingredients to make Sweet Poha

  • 2/3 Cup Poha - Medium thickness poha
  • 2 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 3/4 Cup coconut Milk
  • 2 Pods Cardamons
  • 4 cashew nuts
  • 1 tablespoon grated coconut

How to make Sweet Poha

  1. Wash the poha two times to remove the impurities and drain the water completely from the poha.
  2. Powder the cardamon pods or just crush it in a mortar.
  3. Mix coconut milk and sugar so that the sugar gets dissolved.
  4. In a bowl add the poha, coconut sugar mixture and mix well. Keep this aside for 20 minutes, so that poha gets soaked and becomes soft.
  5. Before serving add crushed or powdered cardamons, cashewnuts and grated coconut, mix and ready to serve

My Tip:

You can use any type of poha, the soaking time and the quantity of coconut differs.
