Ingredients to make hummus

  • 1 cup chickpea
  • 4tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 5 to 6 garlic pods
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2tsp cumin powder

How to make hummus

  1. nicely wash and soak the chickpea overnight
  2. next day drain the overnight water wash the chickpea with fresh water and pressure cook the chickpea with enough water for 5 to 6 whistles
  3. once the chickpea is cooked let it cool down do not throw the water in which the chickpea was cooked
  4. now take a blender put the chickpea add the olive oil salt cumin powder lemon juice and garlic in Churn it into a smooth paste using the chickpea water
  5. adjust the water to make the paste to hummus constistency
  6. your hummus is ready enjoy with pita bread crackers or carrots
  7. stays fresh in fridge for 10 days

My Tip:

U can add chilly flakes as well if u wish to make the hummus abut spicy
