A pancake is a flat cake prepared from batter containing flour, milk, egg and butter. You may add baking powder to the batter. They are cooked on stove top using a griddle or non-stick frying pan. Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 cup all purpose flour
  2. 1 tablespoon sugar
  3. 1 teaspoon baking powder
  4. 1/8 teaspoon salt
  5. 3/4 cup Milk
  6. 1 egg
  7. 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  8. oil

Instructions

  1. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a large bowl.
  2. Beat together milk and egg in a separate bowl . Add sugar. Whisk in the melted butter.
  3. Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and whisk lightly to make a smooth batter. Set aside for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Heat a griddle or non-stick pan over medium heat and grease with little oil.
  5. Pour a small ladle full of batter into the pan and spread gently using the back of the ladle.
  6. Cook the pancake over medium- low heat until small bubbles appear on the surface and underside is lightly browned. Loosen the pancake and flip over using a thin spatula. Cook until both sides are golden brown. Transfer to a plate.
  7. Grease the pan with oil and repeat the same process with the remaining batter.
  8. Serve warm with topping of your choice.
