Ingredients to make Thekua

  • Thekua :
  • wheat flour - 1 Cup
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
  • jaggery - 1/2 cup
  • ghee - 1 tbsp
  • oil (for frying)
  • Icing sugar (for dusting)

How to make Thekua

  1. Make a syrup using the jaggery and little water. Keep aside to cool.
  2. Now mix rest of the ingredients together except the oil.
  3. Make a dough using the jaggery syrup. Leave it for 10 minutes to rest.
  4. Roll the dough and cut out shapes using cookie cutter.
  5. Deep fry them in hot oil and dust the icing sugar on top.
